As an industry leader, GLBC is one of the first sheet plants in the BC region to become SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) certified. This was the next step in our commitment to the environment to ensure that our raw materials are coming from responsible sources. Consumers and customers alike want assurances that their buying decisions represent environmentally friendly alternatives.

 

Corrugated containers are generally designed for reuse – Most corrugated is used to
ship raw materials and products to factories, warehouses, retail stores and offices. But corrugated is also widely used in homes across Canada and the US.
GLBC encourages the reuse of our product, give one of our great little boxes to a
great friend and help our great environment!

 

GLBC's Work Environment:

  • One of the first sheet plants in the BC region to become SFI certified.

  • Our internal scrap recovery program recycles the equivalent of 2849 trees per
    year - that’s enough trees to build 1188 houses annually.

  • Our Green Planting initiative can filter up to 80,000 pounds of pollutants out of the
    air each year.

  • We are heavily involved in the daily operations of the Quest Outreach Society; A
    local organization dedicated to feeding more than 60,000 people per month.
